She's baaaack!

Well-Lulu is back and she is happier than ever. After a good ten minutes of rubbing her body all over me on the couch, I realized she's not going to calm down enough to warrant this kind of freedom. So off to the cage it was. She's not so happy any more. Screaming and crying is all I hear. Hopefully she'll calm down enough by tomorrow to earn some cage-free time. Either way-I'm just happy she's home.

It begins...

I dropped Lulu off at the vet this morning to receive her heartworm treatment....I was sad to see her go. She pouted the whole car ride and then didn't even look at me as the vet assistant took her away. Sniff...I made sure she had her favorite bone but I forgot her blanket! I hope she'll be comfortable until I can pick her up sunday.

Out Of The Shelter!

So we picked up Diamond (now Lulu) about 4 days early...once we met her...we couldn't resist! She seemed so lonely at the shelter-in a big outdoor play area....all by herself. She was sitting in a corner, curled up in a ball, fast asleep. She was so excited to see us! We decided to bring her right home!

Our goal was to give her a few days of romping around and fun before her heartworm treatment. She'll then have to be cage rested for 6 whole weeks! Phew...tall order.

Her first day was a bit exciting. She discovered TV (scary sounds at first). Smelled around our house for H-O-U-R-S. Then finally settled down practically in my lap on the couch. We played with her alot outside. She got to run around and "play" with the neighbors dog thru the fence. She ate her whole dinner and was fast asleep in her kennel by 10PM.

Good start I'd say!
